Retired baseball great Derek Jeter and model Hannah Davis have wed in Napa Valley, California.
The former New York Yankees legend and the 26-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model exchanged vows on Saturday in St. Helena.
The bride reportedly wore a custom-made Vera Wang gown, while 42-year-old Jeter settled for a black designer suit.
The couple confirmed months of engagement rumors late last year, when Jeter subtly referred to Davis as his “fiancee” in a blog post on his website.
The pair has been dating for almost four years.
Jeter, once one of America’s most eligible bachelors, previously dated actress Minka Kelly. He has also been linked to Vanessa Lachey, Fast & Furious star Jordana Brewster and Mariah Carey.
This is the first marriage for both newlyweds.
The Jeters have been keen to keep their romance as private as possible.
“I feel like I have to share every other part of my life,” Davis told Maxim magazine in March. “It’s that one part that’s a bit of a mystery to people, but that’s the way we want it. The only way to protect it is not to talk about it.”
And the small and intimate wedding was just what the bride wanted, recently telling Health magazine, “I just want it to be a fun day, not all the fuss. I don’t want to go overboard – it’s not about the place settings.”
Last month, reports suggested the couple would tie the knot over Independence Day weekend, but it seems the newlyweds decided to wait a week.
